Founder's Note
What fifteen years of platform change actually taught us
Every format has been declared essential, then quietly retired. The instinct underneath them has never changed.

I started publishing on Instagram when it was barely two years old. Since then I have watched the square give way to the portrait, the caption give way to the cut, organic reach rise, collapse and partially return, and at least six formats arrive as the future of the industry.
What I have never seen change is the reason a person stops scrolling.

Formats are temporary. Recognition is not.
People stop for something they recognise — a feeling, a place, a standard of taste they already hold. Platforms only change the container that recognition arrives in. Teams who learn the container spend every year relearning it. Teams who learn the recognition adapt in an afternoon.
Platforms changed. Formats changed. The instinct didn't.
That is the argument for senior attention on every project, and it is the reason SO/IN is built the way it is. No hand-offs, no layers. The judgement is the service.
